A recent survey by the NLT revealed that 64% of teachers surveyed cited the quality of pupils’ writing as their top priority – whilst further research suggests that pupils’ enjoyment of writing is an important factor in increasing writing attainment, with children who regard writing as boring being three times more likely to be below average writers. The ComiX Factor aims to put the fun back into writing by using the power of comics and graphic novels, which are fast becoming the most popular reading materials amongst children and adults alike.
